2 get five-yr jail for raping minor

Mohali, August 20A local court today awarded a five-year jail term to two persons convicted of sexual assault on a 14-year-old girl. The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge sent Jarnail Singh (55) and Kuldip Singh (30), both residents of Dera Bassi, to five years in jail. The court imposed a fine of Rs 40,000 on Kuldip and Rs 30,000 on Jarnail Singh. The convicts were arrested in April last year for sexually assaulting a minor girl living in their neighbourhood. Her mother was in Dubai and came to know about it after her daughter informed her aunt.
