Advance tax helps in nation building: Experts

Fatehgarh Sahib, Sept 16The Income-Tax Department organised a seminar in Sirhind related to advance tax. Puneet Singh Sachdev, Principal Commissioner, was the chief guest, while Akarshan Singh, Joint Commissioner, Income Tax, presided over the event. The duo highlighted the importance of collecting advance tax as it helps in nation building. The Joint Commissioner said, “Advance tax collection is one of the most important means of collecting direct taxes. Chartered Accountants and advocates work as a bridge between the Income-Tax Department and tax payers.” He also discussed various issues with industrialists and traders.
