53-year-old dies in road accident

Zirakpur, September 16A 53-year-old man died after his motorcycle was reportedly hit by an unidentified vehicle near Zirakpur flyover. The victim has been identified as Ashwani Kumar, a resident of Chandigarh. The police said Saurabh Kumar, son of the deceased, in his complaint had alleged that his father worked as a production in-charge in a factory in Dera Bassi. The victim was rushed to JP Hospital, Zirakpur, from where he was further referred to the GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Ashwani died while undergoing treatment.
