BJP leaders meet former CJ, Yuvraj Singh

‘JANSAMPARK’ CAMPAIGNChandigarh, September 18Under the BJP’s ‘Jansampark’ campaign to create awareness about the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A in Jammu & Kashmir, BJP leaders today met NK Sodhi, retired Chief Justice of Karnataka and Kerala High Courts, and cricketer Yuvraj Singh at their residences. BJP’s national vice-president and Chandigarh in-charge Prabhat Jha, along with city BJP president Sanjay Tandon, organisational secretary Dinesh Kumar, city BJP vice-president Rambir Bhatti and general secretary Prem Kaushik, met the two personalities. Jha explained the reasons behind the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu & Kashmir. He said: “Senior BJP leaders like Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Deendayal Upadhyay laid down their lives for this. Instead of playing politics, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took this decision for the welfare and development of people of the region.”“It is the first step in creation of new Kashmir where everyone will live in peace and prosperity, instead of fear,” he said.
