‘MOLESTATION’ CASETribune News ServiceChandigarh, September 20A woman employee of a salon, who was allegedly molested by the sonof a former Punjab Minister, deposed before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Abhishek Phutela today. However, suspect Jasjit Singh Bunny was not present in the court as he had taken an exemption from appearance. In her statement, the victim submitted that on November 23, 2018, Bunny came to the salon in an inebriated stated and touched her inappropriately while she was giving him head massage. When Bunny was asked to leave, he allegedly started verbally abusing her, who then called the owner of the salon. Bunny also verbally abused the female owner of the salon and threatened to slap her.

‘MOLESTATION’ CASE Chandigarh, September 20 A woman employee of a salon, who was allegedly molested by the son of a former Punjab Minister, deposed before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Abhishek Phutela today. However, suspect Jasjit Singh Bunny was not present in the court as he had taken an exemption from appearance. In her statement, the victim submitted that on November 23, 2018, Bunny came to the salon in an inebriated stated and touched her inappropriately while she was giving him head massage. When Bunny was asked to leave, he allegedly started verbally abusing her, who then called the owner of the salon. Bunny also verbally abused the female owner of the salon and threatened to slap her. After this, the owner informed the police about the incident. The examination of the victim was partly recorded and will be continued further on the next of hearing on October 16. Bunny is facing trial under Sections 354-A (sexual harassment) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the IPC.
