The meeting was chaired by Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Operations), Pankaj Gupta, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Infrastructure) Karan Singh and Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM) Hari Mohan on Wednesday evening. Freight customers have given assurance to increase loading.”“Suggestions have also been sought from customers and they have been assured that their grievances will be redressed on utmost priority with the help of Railway Board,” he added. Another meeting with freight customers was held last evening at the Northern Railway headquarters, Baroda House, New Delhi, he said. The meeting was chaired by General Manager, Northern Railway, TP Singh, the PCCM/NR, Mani Anand, the PCOM/NR, Rajeev Saxena, and the CFTM/NR, Vikas Chaubey, he added.

The senior DCM said, “Customers have welcomed the initiative of Railways, including discontinuation of 15 per cent busy season surcharge and five per cent two-point and mini rake supplementary surcharge, which will come into effect from October 1. Freight customers have given assurance to increase loading.” “Suggestions have also been sought from customers and they have been assured that their grievances will be redressed on utmost priority with the help of Railway Board,” he added. Another meeting with freight customers was held last evening at the Northern Railway headquarters, Baroda House, New Delhi, he said.
