Kanwarpreet Singh prevailed 7-5 6-0 over Manas Singh Mehra, while Umang Singh blanked Angad Singh Rangi 6-0 6-0. Aryan Jolly packed off Samarvir Garg 6-1 6-0, while Chaitanya Bansal ousted Iren Singh 6-2 6-1. Kanvarpreet Singh humbled Gurbaaz Singh 6-4 6-2. Dhruv Pratap humbled Manas Singh 6-3 6-2 and Om Kaushik beat Vikramdeep Singh 6-4 6-4.

Chandigarh, November 11 Divyam Sharma edged out Prabir Singh to move into the boys’ U-14 second round on the opening day of the Roots-AITA Talent Series (TS-7) National Ranking Championship at Zirakpur today. Sharma won 6-2 6-0. Chaitanya Bansal registered a 6-3 6-4 win over Viraj Singh, while Aryan Jolly downed Satvik Singla 6-1 6-3. Raghav Chaudhary thrashed Param Sidana 6-1 6-0. Madhav Aggarwal overcame Yajat Khanna in an intense three-setter. Aggarwal won the opening set 7-6(5), but Khanna drew level with a 6-3 win in the second set. Aggarwal though regained his composure and seized the decider 6-3 to stay alive in the competition. Kanwarpreet Singh prevailed 7-5 6-0 over Manas Singh Mehra, while Umang Singh blanked Angad Singh Rangi 6-0 6-0. In boys’ U-16 competition, Harwin Singh drubbed Nandit Negi 6-0 6-0 in the opening round. Aryan Jolly packed off Samarvir Garg 6-1 6-0, while Chaitanya Bansal ousted Iren Singh 6-2 6-1. Kanvarpreet Singh humbled Gurbaaz Singh 6-4 6-2.
