Chandigarh, November 11St Stephen’s School, Sector 45, registered a 31-run win over AKSIPS, Sector 41, to enter the semifinals of the 14th Sister Alberta Memorial U-14 Cricket Tournament here today. Put in to bat, St Stephen’s made 114/2 in 20 overs. In another match, St Kabir School, Sector 26, defeated St John’s High School, Sector 26, by six wickets. Batting first, St John’s School could only score 79/6 in 20 overs. In the semifinals, St Stephen’s will face Saupin’s School, while hosts St Anne’s will lock horns with Guru Nanak Public School.

In reply, AKSIPS could only manage 83/5 in the allotted overs. Gursimar (30) was the top scorer for the side, while Karan contributed 28 to the chase. In another match, St Kabir School, Sector 26, defeated St John’s High School, Sector 26, by six wickets. Batting first, St John’s School could only score 79/6 in 20 overs. Kapil (21) and Gurniwash (14) made useful contributions to the total. Chasing a modest total, St Kabir boys reached home in 15 overs. In the semifinals, St Stephen’s will face Saupin’s School, while hosts St Anne’s will lock horns with Guru Nanak Public School. — TNS
