Cash, jewellery looted from house at Raipur Rani

According to the police, thieves looted the house of Ranjeet Singh and his tenants Narendra Kumar and Manjit Kumar. Ranjeet told the police that Rs 1.20 lakh in cash, jewellery items worth Rs 10 lakh and a bicycle were stolen from his house. Besides, Rs 1.20 lakh in cash, and gold and silver jewellery is also missing from the locker,” the complainant stated. A case was registered under Sections 380 (theft in dwelling house etc) and 457 (lurking, house-trespass or house-breaking by night in order to commit offence), IPC, at the Raipur Rani police station.

His tenants, in their complaint to the police, stated that they had gone to their native village on November 9. When they returned on November 11 around 7:30 am, they were shocked to find their main gate lock broken. “We found clothes and other items inside wardrobes scattered all over the room. Besides, Rs 1.20 lakh in cash, and gold and silver jewellery is also missing from the locker,” the complainant stated. A case was registered under Sections 380 (theft in dwelling house etc) and 457 (lurking, house-trespass or house-breaking by night in order to commit offence), IPC, at the Raipur Rani police station.
