Suspect seeks nod to wear shoes during court hearings

Chandigarh, November 13A suspect has sought permission to allow him to wear shoes during his court hearings. In the application, it was stated that the suspect is not allowed to wear shoes while appearing in the court during proceedings. In one such incident, he fell in the court due to the problem. In the complaint, Sanjeev Kumar stated that he works at a dhaba in Sector 22. He stated that when he crossed the Sector 22/23 light point, a white car stopped in front of him.

Chandigarh, November 13 A suspect has sought permission to allow him to wear shoes during his court hearings. In an application filed in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Sanjiv Joshi, suspect Yodha Singh, who is facing trial in a case of robbery and the Arms Act, has stated that he be allowed to wear shoes during his court visits as he is suffering from some foot ailment, which worsens in winters. In the application, it was stated that the suspect is not allowed to wear shoes while appearing in the court during proceedings. He is facing problem in movements due to the ailment. In one such incident, he fell in the court due to the problem. On the complaint of Sanjeev Kumar, a resident of Sector 56, Chandigarh, a case under Section 392 of the IPC and Sections 25, 54, 59 of the Arms Act was registered against Jodha Singh at the Sector 17 police station in December 2017. In the complaint, Sanjeev Kumar stated that he works at a dhaba in Sector 22. On December 12, 2017, he was returning home on his motorcycle around 2 am. He stated that when he crossed the Sector 22/23 light point, a white car stopped in front of him. Two youths came out of it and took out a pistol from their pocket. They took away Rs 10,000 and a gold chain from him. After they left, Sanjeev called the police and an FIR was registered.
