Satinder Pal Singh Zirakpur, November 16 A 30-year-old woman, who was allegedly found hanging in a hotel room at Baltana on Friday, was earlier booked by the Haryana Police in a case involving abetment to her husband’s suicide in October, 2019, at Gurugarm, the police said. The accused along with a person identified as Rajan Bhardwaj with whom she was having an alleged relationship had applied for the anticipatory bail in the Punjab and Haryana High Court, but was granted interim bail on November 4 till the next date of hearing, the police added. The deceased identified as Priyanka was yet to get copy of the bail, the police said. A 38-year-old businessman, Neeraj Dutt, husband of Priyanka and son of the Bihar ex-DGP hanged himself to death on the 14th floor of Tulip Violet building at Sector 69 in October this year. The Gurugram police recovered a suicide note in the flat wherein Dutt blamed Priyanka and Rajan Bhardwaj for forcing him to commit suicide as his wife had extra-marital relations with Bhardwaj. Another suicide note was found lying on top of the refrigerator, wherein also it was written by Neeraj that he was forced by his wife and her paramour to commit suicide. On the basis of the circumstances an FIR was registered at the Badshahpur police station in Gurugram on the statement of Anupam Dutt, brother of the deceased. Meanwhile, the Zirakpur police handed over Priyanka’s body to her family members after conducting an autopsy. It was learnt that Priyanka’s family members refused to lodge any complaint in this regard. On the other hand, the police have already initiated an inquest proceeding into the matter. The Baltana police said Priyanka and her parmour Rajan Bhardwaj had booked a room in a hotel at Zirakpur and were staying there. While Rajan left for Gurugram after receiving the copy of his interim bail on Thursday evening, Priyanka stayed back in the hotel room, the police added. However, her body was found hanging from a ceiling fan on Friday, the police said.
