Knowledge of AI must for job in software industry, say experts

Tribune News ServicePatiala, November 16A three-day workshop on Android App Development and Artificial Intelligence was organised by the PG Department of Computer Science and Placement Cell at Multani Mal Modi College on Saturday. IT analyst Jitanshu from TCS Mumbai, Nikhil and Tanvi from Allsoft Solutions, Chandigarh, conducted the workshop. He emphasised the need for industry liaisoning by the educational institutions so that students become aware of the requirements of the industry and prepare well for future assignments. However, the knowledge of these technologies and concepts was essential to get a job in the software industry. He urged the participants to come forward with innovative ideas and develop apps to solve the problems of society.

IT analyst Jitanshu from TCS Mumbai, Nikhil and Tanvi from Allsoft Solutions, Chandigarh, conducted the workshop. As many as 54 students and 18 teachers attended the workshop. Principal Khushvinder Kumar inaugurated the workshop and motivated the students to make full use of their time and learn maximum from the subject expert of the workshop. He emphasised the need for industry liaisoning by the educational institutions so that students become aware of the requirements of the industry and prepare well for future assignments. Ajit Kumar, convener of the workshop, explained the relevance of the workshop by telling the participants that the new technologies such as Android and artificial intelligence were not part of the university curriculum. However, the knowledge of these technologies and concepts was essential to get a job in the software industry. He urged the participants to come forward with innovative ideas and develop apps to solve the problems of society.
