SCHOOL NOTESRyan International School organised its 22nd Minithon in the vicinity of the school. Chandigarh Mayor Rajesh Kalia was the chief guest of the event. Team championship trophy was won by Ryan International School, Chandigarh, followed by Ryan International School, Amritsar, and Shishu Niketan School, Chandigarh. Winners of races — U-12 boys’: Dhairya Dev Gupta (RIS Chandigarh),U-12 girls’: Anudeep Kaur (RIS Amritsar), U-14 boys’: Anshuman Sharma (RIS Chandigarh), U-14 girls’ Vanisha Bashambu (RIS Chandigarh), U-16 boys’: Sushant Sharma (RIS Chandigarh), U-16 girls’: Harleen Kaur (RIS Chandigarh); U-18 boys’: Akashdeep Singh (Shishu Niketan School Chandigarh); U-18 girls’: Khushi Bhati (Doon International School). The mass participation trophy was awarded to Chitkara International School, Chandigarh.

Chandigarh Mayor Rajesh Kalia was the chief guest of the event. SDM Saurabh Mishra (South), Director IT, Col Sukhminder Singh Sena Medal Gallantry Awardee, Col Harbinder Singh, Registrar, Army Institute of Law, Mohali, Abhishek Rana International shooter and shooting coach, national hockey player Surjit Singh, Asiad Hockey player Bimal Jhass were the guests of honour to flag off the races of different categories. MRA Modern Public, Panchkula MRA Modern Public School, Sector 7, celebrated its annual prize distribution function with a cultural programme ‘Navras’ –‘Jeevan ke Rang, Dharti ke Sang’. The chief guest for the occasion was Sushil Kumar (HCS), SDM, Panchkula, and JB Charitable Trust head Anil Mahajan appreciated the talent displayed by students. Director Rachna Mahajan welcomed the audience and the Principal Neetu Arora presented the annual report of the school and highlighted the school’s progress in academic and non-academic areas. tns
