Sohan Lal Garg, Executive Engineer, PWD, said he had ordered a field report to be compiled by the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) after a complaint was received from the office of Principal, Government Medical College. He said the report is yet to be tabled before him. “I can’t comment on it as I am yet to receive the report. The SDO is supposed to submit the report within a day,” he said. Former Mayor Amarinder Singh Bazaz said it was an attempt to grab government land illegally. “The PWD issued the NOC without following rules. The centre has been allotted land on the sidewalk. We will submit a memorandum to the DC tomorrow. We will wait for a week and then will move to court. The matter should be taken to its logical end.”
