Chandigarh Baptist skipper Puneet won the toss and opted to bat first. However, the decision backfired as the side was bundled out for only 51 runs in 15 overs. Piyush Kapoor (12) was the only notable scorer for the side. No other batsman reached double figures — the scoreboard cut a sorry picture with Puneet (6), Shoaib (0), Karan Sharma (7), Lavish Sharma (7),Saksham Kashyap (1), Sarabjot Singh (1), Harsh Babbar (6), Ankit Gupta (0), Ravi Shankar (0) and Ravi Shankar Kumar (0) all failing badly. Inder Sharma was the chief wicket-taker for the bowling side, claiming 3/7. Vikramjeet Singh (2/6), Vishal (1/12), Kshitij Halder (1/15) and Kavish Chechi (1/18) were the other wicket-takers for Satluj Public School. Chasing a low total, the Satluj lads also had a shaky start. Both the openers, Inder and Ashish, were back in the pavilion without opening their accounts. However, then Saksham took charge and ensured victory for his team. He scored 31 off 34 balls, with five boundaries, to take Satluj to the title. He was involved in short partnerships with Manan Sharma (2), Ayush Kumar (9) and Vividh Serawat (1). Lavish accounted for two wickets for 11 runs, while Sarabjot (1/23) and Shoaib (1/1) claimed one wicket each for Chandigarh Baptist School.
