Youth gets five-year rigorous imprisonment for attempt to murder

Tribune News ServiceChandigarh, December 6A local court has awarded five-year rigorous imprisonment (RI) to a 20-year-old resident of Dhanas in an attempt to murder case.
The court also imposed fine of Rs 6,000 on the convict identified as Dalip, alias Kalu.
One of the injured identified as Sarwan Singh was discharged after first aid while another injured Parveen Kumar was referred to the PGIMER.
In his statement to the police, Parveen stated that on December 1, 2018, at about 11.15pm, he along with his friend Sarwan Kumar was sleeping in verandah.
When he tried to intervene, the accused injured the complainant with a sharp weapon.
