The incident took place at 12:55 am on Saturday when the complainant, Anil Sood (28), was present in the house with his fiancée. The complainant stated that they heard a knock at the door. Sood stated that one of the youths pointed a pistol at him and directed his accomplices to go inside the rooms and search for valuables. The complainant told the police that the robbers appeared to be between 22 and 26 years of age.

The robbers made off with Rs 3.5 lakh and three mobile phones. The incident took place at 12:55 am on Saturday when the complainant, Anil Sood (28), was present in the house with his fiancée. The complainant stated that they heard a knock at the door. As he opened the door, he saw four youths. They greeted him before forcefully entering the flat. Sood stated that one of the youths pointed a pistol at him and directed his accomplices to go inside the rooms and search for valuables. The robbers found Rs 3.5 lakh lying in a cupboard and three phones. Sood said after taking the cash and phones, the robbers locked his fiancée and him inside the toilet while threatening to kill both of them. After the robbers left the flat, the couple shouted for help. A security guard reached there and opened the door of the washroom. Sood immediately contacted the police using the guard’s phone. The complainant told the police that the robbers appeared to be between 22 and 26 years of age. A case under Section 392 (punishment for robbery), 34 (acts are done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 25-54-59 of the Arms Act has been registered at the Sector 49 police station. The police have started an investigation into the case. They are scrutinising the footage of CCTVs installed in the area to identify the robbers.
