Covid-19 update: 23 new Micro-Containment zones identified in UT on Thursday

UT Adviser Manoj Parida said the issue of the outbreak of Covid-19 was examined by a committee and a considered view emerged that the affected areas be declared as micro-containment zones in the city.

Chandigarh is not only reporting a continuous spike in daily Covid-19 cases but also this spike has lead to more Containment zones being identified in the city.

UT Adviser Manoj Parida after examining the situation of Covid-19 spread in the UT, declared 23 new micro-containment zones in the city.

UT Adviser Manoj Parida said the issue of the outbreak of Covid-19 was examined by a committee and a considered view emerged that the affected areas be declared as micro-containment zones in the city.

The new micro-containment zones include affected areas in Sectors 7, 15, 19, 20, 24, 27, 32, 33, 35, 37, 39, 41, 44, 46, Mauli Complex, Ramdarbar Phase 2,  New Indira Colony, Indira Colony, and Pipliwala Town.

Earlier on September 16, as many as 27 pandemic affected areas were declared as micro-containment zones.
