Boy assaulted robbed of Rs 36K

Panchkula December 2A 14-year-old boy was allegedly physically assaulted and robbed of Rs36500 by two persons in Barwala on November 26. A complaint in this connection was filed with the police on December 1 as the victim identified as Sahil from Barwala was receiving treatment at the PGI Chandigarh. The victim was first taken to the Raipur Rani PHC from where he was referred to the Panchkula Civil Hospital. After the victim's father Rajesh Kumar expired in 2010 he and his mother were taking care of their shop. The victim's mother leaves for home around 6 pm while he stays there till 9 pm.

The complainant had recognised the suspects as Amir Khan and Shoaib of Jaloli. He accused them of hitting him with wooden sticks at his cutlery shop in the Barwala market Chaman Lal and Son around 9 pm following which he collapsed. The suspects allegedly took Rs36500 from his pocket and escaped. The victim was first taken to the Raipur Rani PHC from where he was referred to the Panchkula Civil Hospital. Doctors at the Panchkula hospital further referred him to the PGI. Sahil stated that the suspects were accompanied by other unidentified persons. The victims family claimed that the suspects apparently did not like Sahil being friends with a persons with whom they had a fight in the past. A case has been registered under Sections 148 149 323 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code. After the victims father Rajesh Kumar expired in 2010 he and his mother were taking care of their shop. The victims mother leaves for home around 6 pm while he stays there till 9 pm. — TNS
