Chandigarh: Administration Imposes Night Curfew From Tonight, Find Out All The Details

The Chandigarh administration on Tuesday issued an order to impose a night curfew amid rising cases of the coronavirus in the UT.

The order prohibits any person to leave their homes, or move on foot or by vehicle or travel or stand or roam around on any road or public places between 10:30 am to 5 pm; however, people engaged in essential services will get exemption from this. All hospitals, ATMs and chemist shops will be open 24 hours.

Pregnant women and patients can come out for medical and health services. There will be an exemption for commuters to and from the airport, ISBT and railway station. Chemist shops, hospitals and ATMs will be open 24 hours. Instructions have been given to the police that the night curfew should be strictly implemented. Those who meet outside the work without any necessary work, then take action on them.

Along with this, liquor shops, restaurants and all kinds of clubs will also have to be closed at 10 pm. The administrator has said that restaurants, clubs and all eating points should close their respective units by 10 pm.

Also, people will be able to sit here with 50% capacity. The last order can be taken by 9 pm. At the same time, till 11 pm there was time for restaurants and clubs in Chandigarh.

Earlier, the Punjab government announced the imposition of a night curfew in the state till April 30. This curfew will be applicable in all districts of the state. Night curfew will start from 9 am tonight and will be in force till 5 am. Earlier, the night curfew was applicable only in 12 districts of the state till April 10, but now it has been announced to apply in the entire state.
