Chandigarh: A fire broke out in the jungle area of Sector 49 on Monday. Sources said the fire broke out at 4.55 pm. Five fire engines were pressed into service from the Sector 32 and 38 firestations. Till the filing of the report the fire was still being doused. According to the information dry leaves collected from the city were thrown in the jungle. The fire broke out in these leaves and spread further. A major part of the jungle got affected.
