81 year old man duped of Rs13 6L woman booked

Mohali May 10The police have booked a woman among other unknown persons for extortion and duping an 81-year-old man of Rs13.6 lakh by recording an objectionable WhatsApp video call. In his complaint the victim a resident of Phase 4 stated that a woman made a video call to him on April 28 and seduced him to take off his clothes while chatting. The victim received a message from the woman that she had recorded the video call and threatened him to upload it on the social media and inform the police about it if he did not pay her Rs20 lakh. The victim reportedly paid close to Rs13 lakh to the woman. Later he submitted a complaint to the police following which a case was registered on May 7.
