Khattar lays stone of 200 bed child block

The exclusive block will be 11-storeyed (three basements and eight floors) and the tallest building of any medical institution in Panchkula as well as the tricity. In the 300-bed Civil Hospital at present 100 beds are dedicated to maternal and paediatrics care. “With the construction of this building the capacity of the Civil Hospital will be increased to 500 beds” an official press note said. Khattar also laid the stone of a malaria office at the Civil Hospital.

The project to be built at a cost of Rs93.97 crore is likely to be completed in two years. Haryana Speaker and local MLA Gain Chand Gupta termed the occasion a matter of pride. He directed officials to ensure completion of these projects in a time-bound manner. Quality should not be compromised he added.
