Hry INLD chief Nafe Singh Rathee, party worker shot in Jhajjar

Nafe Singh Rathee, president of Indian National Lok Dals (INLD) Haryana Unit, was allegedly shot in Bahadurgarh, Jhajjar on Sunday evening. Another party worker, Jaikishan, also died in the shooting. Senior INLD leader and Ellenabad MLA Abhay Chautala confirmed the party workers death.   Jhajjar Superintendent of Police Arpit Jain said that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and STF teams have begun investigating the case and the accused will be arrested at the earliest. As of now, the motive is unknown.   Moreover, those injured in the shooting were admitted to the Brahmashakti Sanjeevani Hospital. Dr Manish Sharma from the hospital said, In the evening, four people, who had been shot, were brought to the Hospital. Out of them, two had suffered heavy bleeding and were brought dead, still, we tried CPR but they couldnt be saved. Two others are admitted to the ICU with gunshot wounds on the shoulder, thigh, and left side of the chest.   Former MLA Nafe Singh and another person Jaikishan were brought dead. They were shot in the neck, back, and shoulder. Multiple wounds suggest there were multiple rounds of fire...Sudden major vessel damage causes heavy blood loss and eventually, heart attack, said the doctor.   Hailing from Jatwada village in Bahadurgarh, Haryana, Nafe Rathee held various significant positions in his political career. He started his political innings with INLD over four decades ago. Serving as an MLA from Bahadurgarh on the INLD ticket from 1996 to 2005, he later became the president of the partys Haryana unit. Additionally, Rathee served two terms as the chairman of Bahadurgarh Municipal Council.   Meanwhile, Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij, taking serious cognizance of the matter, asked the officials to take immediate action over the shooting incident. ...I have asked the officials to take immediate action in this matter. STF has also swung into action...The incident is being investigated, he added.   Moreover, the attack, which came ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, drew sharp reactions from opposition parties, which alleged a breakdown in law and order in the BJP-ruled state.   INLD leader Abhay Chautala accused the State Government of failing to provide Rathee with security despite there being threat to his life, and demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and state Home Minister Anil Vij.   The two-time MLA, who is our state unit chief, was not provided with security. In writing, representations had been made to senior police officers and state Home Minister that he was facing threats and should be provided with security, Chautala added.   Former Haryana Chief Minister and Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda, expressing his condolence over the death of the former MLA, accused the BJP-JJP government of neglecting the law and order situation in the state.   The news of INLD state president Rathee being shot dead in Haryana is very sad. This reflects the law and order of the state. This incident made it clear that law and order has become bankrupt. Today, no one is feeling safe in the state. My tribute to the departed soul and deep condolences to the family. I pray to God to give strength to the family members to bear this loss. I wish for the speedy recovery of the security personnel injured in the attack, he said in a post on X.   Jannayak Janata Party national president Ajay Singh Chautala has expressed deep grief over the death of Nafe Rathee. Rathee was his old friend and his death is an irreparable loss.   Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sushil Gupta also slammed the State Government saying that rule of law has ended in Haryana and jungle raj prevails…No one is safe in Haryana today.   Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Surjewala also reacted to the murder of INLD leader Rathee.  I am shocked by the news of murder of INLD leader Rathee by firing bullets in broad daylight in Bahadurgarh. This is the frightening face of the BJP-JJP government, he said.
