Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday announced that a Sikh Museum would be established on a three-acre site in Kurukshetra to honour the legacy of the Gurus and inspire future generations to live by their teachings. The announcement came when Saini was paying tribute to Guru Arjan Dev on the occasion of his 419th martyrdom anniversary at the sacred Shri Bohli Sahib Gurdwara in Pehowa, where the fifth Sikh Guru is believed to have undertaken penance.   Saini, addressing the gathering, reiterated the State Governments commitment to strengthening Sikh-Hindu harmony by embracing and promoting the teachings of Guru Arjan Dev. Gurdwara head Jathedar Mahendra Singh honoured the Chief Minister with a saropa in recognition of his visit. Following the tribute, Saini joined the sangat in the langar hall and partook of prasad.   Highlighting Guru Arjan Devs supreme sacrifice, Saini said: His martyrdom will remain a timeless beacon of light in the fight against injustice, exploitation, and oppression. Despite facing inhuman torture at the hands of the Mughal rulers, Guru Sahib stood unwavering in his faith and principles. He described the Guru as the noble son of Guru Ramdas Ji and Bibi Bhaani, who fulfilled a prophetic vision by compiling sacred hymns and laying the foundation of Sikh scripture.   Calling Guru Arjan Devs martyrdom one of the most profound sacrifices in recorded history, Saini said: His legacy is a guiding ideal not just for the Sikh community, but for the entire nation.   The Chief Minister further announced that Lohgarh in Bhagwanpur is being developed into a major tourism hub. To support this initiative, the Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Trust has been constituted. Additionally, the Golden Jubilee Guru Darshan Yatra Yojana has been launched to provide financial assistance to Haryana pilgrims visiting major Sikh religious shrines, including Sri Hazur Sahib, Sri Nankana Sahib, Sri Hemkund Sahib, and Sri Patna Sahib.   During his visit, Saini also heard grievances from the sangat and directed officials to ensure prompt redressal. He urged citizens to submit complaints to the Deputy Commissioners office and instructed DC Neha Singh to give due attention to all public concerns.
