CM lays foundation stone of new hospital building in Kurukshetra

Kurukshetra: Haryana chief minister (CM) Manohar Lal Khattar laid the foundation stone of the 100-bedded civil hospital in Kurukshetra on Friday. The CM had announced a new building for the civil hospital on June 4, 2015. The CM initiated developmental projects worth Rs 52 crore in the district.The new building of the civil hospital named after Lok Nayak Jayprakash Narayan would be built at the cost of Rs 39 crore. One of the health department officials said that they had been catering to more than 250 indoor patients in the same building resulting in crowded corridors and filthy conditions.The foundation stone of the new building of the civil hospital has raised hopes for the people of Kurukshetra and surrounding areas. The main building is old and had a 50-bedded hospital.

The CM initiated developmental projects worth Rs 52 crore in the district.The new building of the civil hospital named after Lok Nayak Jayprakash Narayan would be built at the cost of Rs 39 crore. Along with that, a sewage treatment plant in Ladwa was inaugurated that would cost about Rs 10.40 crore and a multi-storey building of the government school in Pipli to be built for Rs 2.15 crore.The up-gradation of the civil hospital was required as it was running short of space. The main building is old and had a 50-bedded hospital. A year back, it was sanctioned 100 beds in the same building. One of the health department officials said that they had been catering to more than 250 indoor patients in the same building resulting in crowded corridors and filthy conditions.The foundation stone of the new building of the civil hospital has raised hopes for the people of Kurukshetra and surrounding areas. The CM had announced a new building for the civil hospital on June 4, 2015.
