Jalandhar bag three points against Mohali

Patiala log first innings victory over Muktsar Patiala defeated Muktsar on the basis of first innings lead to claim seven points at Dhruv Pandove Stadium, Patiala. Sukwinder Singh claimed five wickets for 25 while Akul Pratap Pandove took 4/8. Mahavir Singh (50 off 64 balls including five boundaries and two sixes) and Manpreet Singh (39 off 103 balls including five boundaries) were the main scorers for Muktsar. For the hosts, Savnir Singh posted 167 off 194 balls including 16 boundaries and three sixes while Anmolpreet Singh scored 100 off 68 balls including seven boundaries and five sixes. Mohali openers Haramnvir Singh and Abhijeet Garg failed to give start as they gathered only nine runs.

Mohali, June 18 Jalandhar bagged three points on the basis of first innings lead against hosts Mohali in the ongoing of Punjab State Inter District U-23 Cricket Tournament at the IS Bindra PCA Stadium. Resuming at 2/0, Mohali ended their first innings on 212 runs in 60.3 overs. Gaurav Chaudhary claimed four wickets while Harit Sachar and Prerit Dutta claimed two wickets each to trouble Mohali while they chase Jalandhar’s first innings total of 300. Mohali openers Haramnvir Singh and Abhijeet Garg failed to give start as they gathered only nine runs. Haramnvir (5) was cleaned up by Vikram Singh. Shubman Gill failed to get Garg’s (10) support as he fall prey to Sachar. Gill along with Subeer Hayer (7) added 28 runs for the third wicket before the latter was cleaned by Chaudhary. Gill was joined by Ramandeep Singh and the duo raised 45 runs for the fourth wicket. The partnership was broken by Sachar after he claimed Gill (62 off 53 balls including 10 boundaries). Pukraj Singh (2) also failed to fire while Ramandeep was the next man to go after scoring 70 off 115 balls. Thereafter, Harsaroop Singh (30 off 75 balls including three boundaries and a six) contributed major score for the side. Jasinder Singh (18) and Gurpreet Singh (1) were the other scorers for the side. Chaudhary claimed 4/75, Sachar took 2/28, Dutta claimed 2/58 and Vikram took 1/2. In their second innings, Jalandhar ended their day on 98/2 with Himanshu Sharma (59 off 61 balls including six boundaries and two sixes) and Mansab Gill (28 off 22 balls including five boundaries) scoring for the side. Jasinder Singh and Subeer Hyer claimed a wicket each for Mohali.
