Guthmara school bag top position in handball

DIST SCHOOL GAMESTribune News ServicePatiala, September 4The handball girls’ team (U-17) of Mata Gujri Senior Secondary School, Guthmara, brought laurels to the school by winning the 1st position in the 63rd Patiala District School Games held at Polo Ground here. In skating, Khushdeep Kaur won three gold medals in rink race (300m), (500m) and 1,000m. Meanwhile, students of Golden Era School, Dittupur Jattan, excelled again in the district games organised by Punjab Education Department. Members of the school management, principal Vishwaruchi De appreciated the efforts of Gaurav Panday (DPE) and coach Inderjit Singh and congratulated the winners for their achievement. Director Bhupinder Singh and president Ravinder Kaur of the school congratulated the team for their achievement and wished them good luck for the upcoming state-level competition.

Team coach Lateef Mohd was also appreciated under whom the team played brilliantly and become the district champion. Principal Tejender Kaur, vice-principal Yashpal Singla also praised the team for the victory. Meanwhile, students of Golden Era School, Dittupur Jattan, excelled again in the district games organised by Punjab Education Department. Vishal Kumar, Parpinder Singh and Karamandeep won gold medals in the U-17 kabbadi (boys). In skating, Khushdeep Kaur won three gold medals in rink race (300m), (500m) and 1,000m. Sehajpreet Kaur won a bronze medal in road race (3,000m). Members of the school management, principal Vishwaruchi De appreciated the efforts of Gaurav Panday (DPE) and coach Inderjit Singh and congratulated the winners for their achievement.
