Seeman seeks advance bail in assault case

His petition stated that the case against him had been booked under various provisions including Sections 148 (rioting with deadly weapons), 341 (wrongful restraint), 294b (uttering obscene words), 324 (causing hurt), 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant), 307 (attempt to murder) and 506 part II (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code. According to him, the case of the prosecution was that he had gone to the venue of the cricket match and raised slogans demanding establishment of Cauvery Water Management Board when a quarrel arose between him and the police.
