Youth held for selling fake train, flight tickets

The Crime Intelligence Branch of the Railway Protection Force at Chennai Central arrested a youth on Friday on the charge of issuing fake train tickets and flight tickets to gullible travellers. The RPF team recovered live e-tickets, expired tickets,flight tickets and a high-end mobile phone used for obtaining tickets. The accused had made a living out of procuring of railway e-tickets through IRCTC mobile app by using multiple personal user ids and selling them to passengers at exorbitant rates. The accused was handed over to RPF/Chennai Central, who registered a case under section 143 of Railways Act 1989 and began making inquiries. He was remanded to custody on Saturday.
