CHENNAI: A youth chased and nabbed two motorcycle-borne men who snatched the cellphone of a 26-year-old woman at Saidapet here on Monday night. We took them to Mabalam police,” said Vigneshwaran.The cellphone snatchers have been identified as Naveen and Nirmal of Anandur, who were involved in many snatching cases.They were handed over to the Saidapet police. I nabbed one of them while onlookers nabbed his friend. The man, identified as T Vigneshwaran, 26, of Little Mount, chased the duo through small lanes.“When they reached T Nagar bus depot, their motorcycle skidded, and the duo fell on the road. The motorcycle-borne men dragged the woman, identified as Preethi of Saidapet, for about 20 feet on the Anna Salai while trying to snatch her cellphone.The incident happened when Preethi, who works in a private company at Adyar, was walking towards her home around 8.30pm after getting off a bus.A two-wheeler rider, who saw the robbery, raised an alarm.
