Chennai-bound flight diverted to Ankara

A British Airways flight (BA 35), operating on the London-Chennai sector on August 14/15 (Tuesday/Wednesday), was diverted to Ankara, Turkey, after a passenger experienced a medical emergency. The flight later landed in Chennai at 6.44 a.m. against its scheduled arrival time of 4 a.m. Confirming the incident, an airline spokesperson said that a woman passenger had become unwell and needed immediate medical attention. The crew then diverted and the plane landed at the Turkish capital. The flight to London (BA 36) left at 8.48 a.m.
