Gang murderes youth near police stn

CHENNAI: A four-member gang hacked a 23-year-old man to death, a few metres away from Aminjikarai police station on Wednesday morning.The deceased was identified as Adithyan, 23, of M M Colony, Aminjikarai. When he reached the lane opposite Aminjikarai police station, a fourmember gang that came in their bikes intercepted him and picked up a quarrel with him. Meanwhile, cops at Aminjikarai police station who were preparing to hoist the tricolor at the station as part of Independence Day celebrations heard his cries and rushed to the spot. Within seconds, the gang pulled out sickles hidden inside their clothes and attacked the man.As he swooned, they tried to flee the spot. They caught hold of one man, who was identified as Sandeep Kumar of NSK Nagar.Preliminary interrogations revealed that Adithyan had a quarrel with Sandeep’s brother Raj Kumar.

Police said he was employed with a private finance firm.The incident took place at 8.30am when Adithyan was going on his bike at Anna Nagar third avenue. When he reached the lane opposite Aminjikarai police station, a fourmember gang that came in their bikes intercepted him and picked up a quarrel with him. Within seconds, the gang pulled out sickles hidden inside their clothes and attacked the man.As he swooned, they tried to flee the spot. Meanwhile, cops at Aminjikarai police station who were preparing to hoist the tricolor at the station as part of Independence Day celebrations heard his cries and rushed to the spot. They saw the gang fleeing in two bikes. They caught hold of one man, who was identified as Sandeep Kumar of NSK Nagar.Preliminary interrogations revealed that Adithyan had a quarrel with Sandeep’s brother Raj Kumar. Following this, Sandeep warned him and asked him to mend his ways.Sandeep, an ambulance driver at a corporate hospital on Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR), sought the help of his friends to murder Adithyan.Adithyan is also an accused in the murder of one Deepak in 2016. His body was sent to Government Kilpauk Medical Hospital for postmortem.Police are searching for three others – Sabari, Suruli and Murugan, who are absconding.Police have registered a murder case under section 302 of the IPC.
