Woman detained for violating bond conditions

Nagar, on Tuesday passed an order cancelling the bail bond of a habitual offender, for indulging in violence, violating the conditions of the bond she had executed a few months ago. Ilavarasi, 52, of Moorthy Nagar, is a functionary of AIADMK in Teynampet and has five criminal cases against her in Teynampet police station. She breached the condition within 25 days of executing the bond. She frequently indulged in hoarding liquor procured from Tasmac outlets and sold it at higher rates illegally.

She frequently indulged in hoarding liquor procured from Tasmac outlets and sold it at higher rates illegally. Following a report on criminal background, the DC in his capacity as executive magistrate ordered her to execute a bond with surety for good behaviour for period of one year as per provisions contemplated in Section 110 (Security for good behaviour from habitual offenders) of Criminal Procedure Code. She executed the bond on July 24 assuring good behaviour for the period. However, she indulged in attacking a few persons during a temple festival. Hence she was arrested and remanded in judicial custody. She is at present in prison. Following the report of Teynampet Inspector Ramesh on her act, Mr. Aravindan passed the order detaining her in prison for the remaining 340 days since she had violated the conditions of the bond she executed for keeping peace for a year. She breached the condition within 25 days of executing the bond.
