Stalin gives min 7 days to file case against him

CHENNAI: DMK president M K Stalin on Friday challenged Tamil Nadu electricity minister P Thangamani to file a defamation case against him within one week failing which he would file a case against the latter.On Thursday evening, DMK released proof of a wind power purchase scam in Tangedco after Thangamani said Stalin had been levelling false allegations against him. I give him one week’s time to file a case against me failing which I will file a case against him and present in the court proof of the fake power purchase," Stalin told reporters at the party headquarters here.The war of words between Stalin and Thangamani has been continuing since Stalin alleged that there was a scam in wind power purchase. On Friday, Thangamani said he would file cases against me.

To counter this, Thangamani convened a press meet at TNEB headquarters here on Thursday and alleged that three officials of Tangedco had been suspended for not collecting wheeling charges from a private thermal power company. He denied any wrongdoing in wind power purchase.
