He took out a knife and threatened Paramasivam that he would stab him if he made any noise.The man escaped in the autorickshaw.Based on Paramasivam's complaint, the Mylapore police registered a case and launched a hunt for the man and the autorickshaw driver. CHENNAI: An unidentified man, who claimed to be a police officer working in the intelligence wing of the Chennai police, robbed a senior citizen of his gold ring on Sunday.Paramasivam, 70, a resident of Kabali Thottam in Mylapore, was going for a morning walk on the Luz Church Road when a passenger in an autorickshaw asked him whether he knew any masonry workers in the locality.The man told the senior citizen that he was an officer in the intelligence wing of the police and offered to drop him.
