Section 49-O in the same rules allows a voter to register his vote for none of the candidates standing for an election in a constituency. He uses Section 49P to fight a legal battle.Section 49P gives the power to a person who 'seeks to vote after another person has already voted as such elector. 'The section states that the person should be allowed to vote after ‘satisfactorily answering questions relating to his identity as the presiding officer may ask.’'Section 49P' started trending online after the release of the movie. CHENNAI: Actor Vijay 's Diwali release “Sarkar” has evoked mixed reviews from critics, but the one factor that is unanimously accepted about the movie is the awareness it has created about Section 49P , a little-known section in the Conduct of Election Rules , 1961.In the movie, Vijay plays a CEO of a global company who comes to Chennai to cast his vote and finds out someone has already cast it.
