Man kills wife, mother-in-law and self in TN

COIMBATORE: A 42-year-old daily wage earner committed suicide after murdering his wife and mother-in-law by slitting their throats with a paperknife in their house in CTC Colony at Pollachi . Soon, the couple started to quarrel, neighbours told police.As the house remained locked till 10am on Wednesday, one of their relatives, R Prakash, who resides in the same area, alerted police. Officials from Pollachi East police station rushed to the spot, opened the door and found the dead bodies.The bodies were sent for postmortem. The police registered aa case. The suicide and murders came to light on Wednesday morning.The deceased have been identified as M Babu, a resident of Podhanur, his wife B Sumathi, 36, and his mother-in-law, R Vijayalakshmi (55), a resident of Pollachi.The couple, who had been married for 15 years, had estranged about a couple of years ago as there had been frequent quarrels between them, said a police officer.Even after Sumathi started living with her mother in Pollachi, Babu used to visit her often in an inebriated condition and fought with her.Babu visited Sumathi on Tuesday.
