Jaya death: Panneerselvam won’t appear on Tue

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu deputy chief minister O Panneerselvam, whose Dharma Yudhham led to the formation of the Justice (retd) A Arumughaswamy commission to probe former chief minister J Jayalalithaa's death, will not appear before it on Tuesday. This was the third time that he was issued a summons to appear before the commission. However, on Monday evening, his advocate submitted a letter before the commission stating that he had some pressing commitments on Tuesday because of which he could not appear, a source in the commission said. On the first two occasions, the commission adjourned hearing citing different reasons.OPS had given statements in the media a few days ago that he had no issues in appearing before the commission.
