Bharathidasan Univ gets full-time medical centre

“The new facility has surpassed their expectation,” said BDU vice-chancellor P Manisankar. They are provided with accommodation on the campus to enable their service even during midnight.Two numbers of on-site treatment-ready ambulance are also lodged for emergency requirement. More than 2,000 students and 700 staff members can benefit from it.The current facility is housed in the fitness and health sciences lab which is geographically accessible to all stake holders. TRICHY: A full-time medical centre with modern facilities was inaugurated on the main campus of Bharathidasan University here on Monday.Inaugurated by city police commissioner A Amalraj, this medical centre is meant to cater to the needs of students, faculty and administrative staff of the university, residents in the staff quarters, free of cost.This full-time medical centre with three beds, multipara monitor, defibrillator, ECG machine, nebulizer and emergency medicines will be functional round the clock with a pharmacy and adequate supply of essential medicines.Two doctors, four nurses and two supporting staff will be deputed by Kauvery Hospitals to this centre.
