CHENNAI: Keeping alive speculation whether he would contest in the Lok Sabha polls, Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) chief and actor Kamal Haasan on Wednesday announced candidates for 21 constituencies, including Puducherry Kamal said that there would be some important names in the second list, which he will announce on March 24 in Coimbatore for the remaining constituencies and the 18 assembly segments where bypolls would be held. "It will end all speculations," he said while responding to a question whether he would contest the elections or not.Actor Nasser's wife Kameela (Chennai Central), retired IPS officer A G Mourya (Chennai North) and founder of Dalit Munnetra Kazhagam and advocate Abin Poyyamozhi (Villupuram (R)) are among the prominent candidates. The party has fielded Dr M A S Subramanian in the lone seat in Puducherry.Interestingly, Ramanathapuram and Chennai South constituencies were not mentioned in the first list and there was speculation that the actor-turned politician would test the electoral waters from one of the two constituencies.
