MK Stalin welcomes Nyay scheme of Congress

Congress government had waived Rs 72,000 crore farm loans throughout the country, he said.He said Modi had made several promises but had not kept any of them. Stalin said Modi’s government dragged India 40 years backward on employment. India’s unemployment rate was 6.1%, a four-decade high though it was much better at 3.41% in 2014. Dubbing the PM’s recent visit to Madurai to lay the foundation stone for AIIMS hospital as an election stunt, he said the money required for the hospital had not been allotted yet.

MADURAI: Welcoming the Nyuntam Aay Yojana (Nyay) scheme announced by Congress president Rahul Gandhi as a poll promise, which offers a minimum income of Rs 6,000 a month to poor families, DMK president M K Stalin on Thursday assured that it will be rolled out soon after the Congress comes to power at the Centre.Campaigning for CPM’s Lok Sabha candidate for Madurai, Su Venkatesan, he criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP for dubbing the scheme as unrealistic.
