The 34-year-old not only collects dolls, but also designs clothes for them, and dresses a few up in homage to various Bollywood celebrities.
It may seem childish to many, but it really helps me when I’m trying to think of new clothes or designs for them.
Now, she designs and makes clothes for the dolls using scrap fabric from tailors and sequins bought from T Nagar.
I want people to be shocked when they see the dolls clothes in apparels I make for them, and couture helps me achieve that,” she says.
“Once I get a doll for a celebrity, I don’t replicate designs worn by other celebrities on it.
