Tamil Nadu announces more relaxation in Lockdown rules

“Permission should be obtained from the commissioner of Greater Chennai Corporation and district collectors (for public worship),” CM said.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Saturday announced more relaxation in the Lockdown guidelines.

Public worship will be allowed in small temples in corporation areas, which have an annual income of less than Rs. 10,000, from August 10.

In a statement, EPS said the government had already issued standard operating procedures for opening places of worship.

The CM also announced that driving schools in the state shall function from August 10 adhering to the standard operating procedures to be released by the government.
