MGR’s nephew succumbed to coronavirus at Rajiv Gandhi General Hospital, Chennai

MC Chandran (79) nephew of AIDMK founder and former Chief Minister MG Ramchandran died of coronavirus infection on Friday

On Friday 11th September MC Chandran nephew of MG Ramchandran former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and founder of AIDMK succumbed to covid-19 while going under a treatment at a private hospital in Chennai. Chandran was son of MG Chaakarpani who was elder brother of MGR.

AIDMK’s coordinator and Deputy Chief Minister O Pannerselvam and party joint coordinator and Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami expressed their condolences stating ‘’we pray to the almighty to give the required strength to his family, suffering from this personal loss to withstand this crisis’’.

AMMK general secretary TTV Dhinakaran took the social media to express his grievances on the uncertain demise of Chandran ‘’I am saddened to know about the passing away of our beloved Dr. MGR’s brother MG Chakrapani’s son MC Chandran. I express my heartfelt condolences to his family and friends’’. Chandran was treated at Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital in Chennai where he succumbed to the contagion. Various top party leaders extended their condolences to the beavered family stating that they prayed to the Almighty for his soul to rest in peace and to give family the strength to bear the demise.
