Chennai: 'Clean to Green' a campaign that will be running till March 2021 aims at creating awareness and sensitising consumers on responsible disposal of electronics and safe practices for recycling by partnering with responsible organisations. Dr Sandeep Chatterjee Director Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology said “The campaign has collaborated with the electronics industry and corporate bodies to ensure responsible disposal and recycling of e-waste in India. This innovative and comprehensive take back solution has driven return of products from manufacturers and distributors and facilitated multiple cycles of use”. Radhika Kalia MD RLG India said “In FY 2019-20 we aimed to extend the reach of the Clean to Green campaign to ensure individuals and professionals understand that proper disposal and recycling of electronics is a national priority and lack of awareness of responsible disposal of e-waste amongst masses is a serious issue. As for Chennai the venues covered in the campaign included a couple of engineering colleges.
