Chennai: Anna University Deputy Registrar Parthasarathy has been arrested for allegedly taking money by making false promises of getting job in the varsity. It is said that Parthasarathy had collected Rs 3.25 crore from 25 people and had even given fake appointment orders. The development has come at a time when Tamilnadu government on Saturday told the Madras High Court that the inquiry commission appointed to probe complaints of financial irregularity against Anna University Vice-Chancellor MK Surappa will not pass any orders against him till 5 April. The court then adjourned the hearing to 15 March for the State to file a counter.
