Leaders condole death of Congress candidate Madhava Rao News Today

Chennai: PSW Madhava Rao who contested the 6 April Assembly elections as the Congress candidate from Srivilliputhur constituency died in Madurai Sunday after testing positive for Covid-19. Rao had tested positive for the virus during campaigning and was admitted to the government hospital. A legal consultant Rao has been a member of the Congress since 1986 and had also served as the State vice-president of the Tamilnadu Youth Congress. Hailing from Watrap in the southern Virudhunagar district Rao contested the elections for the first time. TNCC president K S Alagiri AICC secretary in-charge of Tamilnadu and Puducherry Sanjay Dutt and DMK president M K Stalin condoled the death of Rao.
