Plus 2 exams Key meeting to be held on 10 May News Today

Chennai: School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi will hold a review meeting on 10 May with officials regarding the Plus Two board exams. Sources said that the process of allotting marks for tenth standard students will also be discussed during the meeting. The Tamilnadu government on 18 April announced postponement of Plus Two board exams in view of the rising cases of Covid-19 in the State. Around eight lakh students from class 12 were set to appear for Tamilnadu Board Exam 2021. Last year also the Class 10 and Class 11 exams were cancelled by the State government.

Sources said that the process of allotting marks for tenth standard students will also be discussed during the meeting. The Tamilnadu government on 18 April announced postponement of Plus Two board exams in view of the rising cases of Covid-19 in the State. The exams were scheduled to be held on 3 May. Around eight lakh students from class 12 were set to appear for Tamilnadu Board Exam 2021. Similarly exams for students for class 10 and 11 were also cancelled and the government said that the students will be promoted to their next class without examination. The decision to cancel the exams was taken after receiving inputs from medical experts who suggested the situation is not conducive to conduct the SSLC and plus one exam. Last year also the Class 10 and Class 11 exams were cancelled by the State government.
