TN CM to kickstart Rs 2000 relief scheme Monday News Today

Chennai: Tamilnadu Food Minister R Sakkarapani today said Chief Minister M K Stalin will kickstart on Monday a scheme to provide Rs 2000 as Covid relief to all ration card holders. He said this after attending a meeting with the CM in which top officials including Chief Secretary V Irai Anabu took part. Issuing his first set of orders after taking over as CM Stalin also announced bringing Covid treatment in private hospitals under a government insurance scheme an official release here said. As tens of thousands of people in the BPL category have been impacted by Covid-19Stalin signed an order promising Rs 4000 per family as part of the corona relief fund for rice card holders. The first tranche of Rs 2000 will be doled out from Monday.
